Office of the U.S. Trade Representative
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is the federal agency responsible for developing and advancing U.S. trade policy. It is headed by the United States Trade Representative, a Cabinet-level official with the rank of Ambassador. The office negotiates trade agreements, enforces U.S. trade rights, and represents the United States in international trade organizations such as the World Trade Organization.
