Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine

The Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine is the central body of the prosecution system of Ukraine, headed by the Prosecutor General. It directs the work of regional and specialized prosecutors, oversees compliance with the law, and represents the state in criminal proceedings. The Prosecutor General is appointed by the Verkhovna Rada on the nomination of the President. The office is based in Kyiv.
