It temporarily assumed certain powers of the Odesa Oblast Council and the previous Oblast State Administration. It is headed by a chief appointed by the President of Ukraine. The administration coordinates district-level bodies, military units and law enforcement agencies across Odesa Oblast and is responsible for security, stability and the functioning of the region under martial law.
