Oblast Defense Council
An Oblast Defense Council is a collegial military administration body established in each oblast of Ukraine under martial law. It is composed of the head of the oblast state administration, representatives of security forces, and local officials. The council coordinates defense, security, public order, and civil protection matters within its territory, and is empowered to impose measures such as curfews. It operates under Ukraine's Law on the Legal Regime of Martial Law and reports to the regional military command.
