Northern Fleet
The Northern Fleet is one of the five operational commands of the Russian Navy, headquartered in Severomorsk, Murmansk Oblast. It is based on the Kola Peninsula and serves as the main base for Russia's nuclear submarine force. In 2024 it was elevated to the status of an inter-service strategic grouping, covering the northwestern direction.
