Neptune missile system
Neptune is a Ukrainian mobile anti-ship missile system developed by the Luch design bureau in Kyiv. It was designed to engage surface warships at ranges of several hundred kilometres with subsonic cruise missiles and entered service with the Ukrainian Navy in 2020. The system gained international attention during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, notably in connection with the sinking of the cruiser Moskva in April 2022. A land-based variant adapted from the same missile has since been used for strikes against ground targets.
