NB8
NB8 is an informal cooperation format bringing together eight northern European countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. Established in 1992, it covers security, energy, economic and regional stability issues, alongside sectoral working groups. Meetings take place at ministerial and heads-of-government level on a regular basis.

Nordic and Baltic countries to coordinate additional energy support for Ukraine ahead of winter
Countries of the NB8 group (Nordic and Baltic states) are working to mobilize additional financial, material and technical assistance for Ukraine's energy sector ahead of winter, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said on social media. For 2026, NB8 countries have earmarked at least €918 million to help supply Ukraine with energy resources and to protect and restore energy infrastructure.
