National Police of Ukraine
The National Police of Ukraine is the central executive body responsible for maintaining public safety and order, preventing and investigating criminal offences within its statutory remit. It operates under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and is led by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine. The service was established by the Law on the National Police adopted in 2015 as part of the broader reform of Ukraine's law enforcement.

Russia launches massive overnight aerial assault on Ukraine with missile and 121 drones
On the night of September 4, 2026, Russia struck Ukraine with a Kh-31 guided aircraft missile and 121 drones, about half of them jet-powered. Ukrainian air defense reported shooting down 103 enemy aerial targets by 9:30 a.m. Hits and falling debris were recorded at 21 locations across multiple regions, killing civilians and damaging homes, vehicles, and industrial sites.
