NATO Headquarters is the main political and military centre of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, located in Brussels, Belgium. It hosts the North Atlantic Council, the permanent representatives of member states, and Allied Command Operations under the Supreme Allied Commander Europe. Major decisions on collective defence, leaders' summits and Council meetings — including those of the NATO–Ukraine format — are held at the complex.

NATO-Ukraine Council holds emergency meeting on air defense amid new Russian aerial tactics
An emergency classified meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council was held at NATO Headquarters on 3 September 2026 to discuss strengthening Ukraine's air defense against Russia's new aerial terror tactics, including jet-powered Shahed-type drones. Ukraine briefed all 32 NATO members on the specific weapons packages it expects within a week, ahead of the next Ramstein-format UDCG meeting, and pushed for additional PURL contributions and anti-ballistic interceptor transfers.
