National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utility Services
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utility Services (NKREKP) is the Ukrainian central-government body that regulates the country's energy and utilities markets. It sets tariffs for electricity, natural gas, heat and water, issues licences to companies operating in these sectors, and monitors compliance with market rules. The commission is a permanent collegial body whose decisions bind utilities and other operators in the spheres it oversees. It reports to the Verkhovna Rada and the President of Ukraine.
