Border Police of Moldova
The Border Police of Moldova is a law enforcement agency subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, tasked with controlling and guarding the state border, including the segments along the borders with Ukraine and Romania. Its officers staff border crossing points and carry out checks on persons, vehicles and goods crossing into and out of the country.

Shell near Ukraine–Moldova border crossing hits bus, injures Moldovan officer
A shell fell near the Palanka–Maiaky–Udobne border crossing on the Ukraine–Moldova border on 5 October at around 09:38, ricocheted into a parked bus and injured a Moldovan border police officer. The checkpoint was suspended, Moldovan roads toward Palanka were closed at 10:50, and traffic was redirected to the Tudora crossing. Ukrainian and Moldovan authorities linked the incident to a Russian attack on Ukraine.
