Moldovan Customs Service
The Moldovan Customs Service is the central public authority of Moldova responsible for administering customs legislation, controlling the movement of goods across the state border and collecting customs duties. It operates under the Ministry of Finance and acts on the basis of the Customs Code of Moldova. The service is led by a director appointed by the government.

Shell near Ukraine–Moldova border crossing hits bus, injures Moldovan officer
A shell fell near the Palanka–Maiaky–Udobne border crossing on the Ukraine–Moldova border on 5 October at around 09:38, ricocheted into a parked bus and injured a Moldovan border police officer. The checkpoint was suspended, Moldovan roads toward Palanka were closed at 10:50, and traffic was redirected to the Tudora crossing. Ukrainian and Moldovan authorities linked the incident to a Russian attack on Ukraine.
