The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is the central executive body responsible for shaping and implementing the state's legal policy. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, the ministry has been involved in documenting war-related damages and operating the international Register of Damages for Ukraine.

Ukraine's Diia portal adds four new claim categories to international Register of Damage
Ukraine's Diia government-services portal has launched four new claim categories for the international Register of Damage for Ukraine (RD4U), allowing Ukrainians to formally document war-related losses including loss of access to medical care and education, other violations of international law, and other economic damages. The Register, established in 2023 under the Council of Europe and based in The Hague, is intended to form the evidentiary basis of a future compensation mechanism that would ultimately require Russia to pay reparations.
