Ukraine's ombudsman says majority of veterans feel their rights are not protected by the state
Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine's Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, said in an interview with Radio NV that more than 50% of Ukrainian veterans believe their rights are not just being violated but not protected by the state at all. He based the claim on an expert survey of more than 1,000 veterans conducted by his office, alongside over 200 monitoring visits to communities and an uptick in complaints.
