Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration (Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych i Administracji, MSWiA) is the central government body of Poland responsible for public security, internal order, migration, civil protection, and state administration. It is headed by a minister appointed by the Prime Minister. The ministry supervises the Polish police, the Border Guard, the State Fire Service and the Office for Foreigners, and operates the national civil-defence alerting system, including the network of air-raid and warning sirens. Its headquarters are in Warsaw.
