Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine
The Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine is a central body of the executive branch responsible for shaping and implementing state policy in economic development, trade, investment, and environmental protection. The ministry was formed in 2025 as part of a Cabinet of Ministers reform by merging the former Ministry of Economy with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.

Ukraine and Germany advance war risk insurance and 'Industrial Ramstein' cooperation in Kyiv talks
Ukrainian Economy Minister Oleksandr Kravchenko met German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche in Kyiv on 4 October 2026. The two ministers focused on an updated war risk insurance mechanism with payouts of up to $10 million and the joint 'Industrial Ramstein' industrial initiative, for which Germany is providing €30 million in start-up financing. Separately, Reiche said she pressed President Volodymyr Zelensky on anti-corruption reforms and the need for measurable results.

U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund approves over $60 million package, eyes up to $1 billion in third-party capital
The U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF) has approved its largest investment package to date, directing more than $60 million of its own funds into new projects in energy, critical minerals, and dual-use technologies. The Fund expects the projects to attract up to $1 billion in additional capital from third-party investors. The package was announced one year after the Fund's launch, when Ukraine and the United States each contributed $75 million to an initial $150 million in capital.
