Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania
The Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania is the central executive body responsible for formulating and implementing Lithuania's national defence policy. It is headed by a civilian Minister of National Defence, with operational command of the Lithuanian Armed Forces vested in the Chief of Defence. The ministry oversees the Lithuanian Land Force, Navy, Air Force, National Defence Volunteer Force and other military branches, and represents Lithuania within NATO and other international security frameworks.
