Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is the United Kingdom's central government department responsible for foreign policy, diplomatic relations and international development. It is headed by the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, who sits in the Cabinet. The department is based in London. It was formed in 2020 by merging the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with the Department for International Development.

Germany blames Russia for drone attack on Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig airport
A drone carrying explosives struck the wing of a Ukrainian Antonov An-124 cargo aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany on the night of August 5, failing to detonate. A joint investigation by The Telegraph and Welt am Sonntag identified Russian biker Oleg Levushkin as the likely organizer and Belarusian agent Andrey Karshakov as the suspected operative. On September 1, Germany officially accused Russia of orchestrating the attack and closed the Russian consulate general in Bonn.
