Germany Explores Buying Thousands of Long-Range Missiles as Tomahawk Deliveries Stall
Germany is negotiating to buy thousands of long-range missiles from European and US defense companies to expand its strike arsenal and deter Russia. Talks include a possible contract worth more than €1 billion with Covenant for ground-launched Anthem missiles and negotiations with Ukraine over jointly producing and purchasing Bars missile drones. The initiative comes amid delays of up to five years in Germany’s planned procurement of Tomahawk missiles and Typhon launchers.
