Drones attack two commercial ships in Bulgaria's Black Sea zone; one sinks, crew missing
On 6 October, drones attacked two merchant vessels in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea. ALFA WATAN, sailing under the flag of Togo, sank after critical structural damage, and its crew is considered missing. ABLE, sailing under the flag of Palau, caught fire; all 18 of its crew were evacuated to the Bulgarian naval ferry DIOSCURIA. Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev convened an emergency meeting of senior officials and called the attack an unacceptable assault and a gross violation of international law.
