Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR) is Ukraine's military intelligence agency, subordinate to the Ministry of Defence and part of the country's armed forces. It traces its origins to the post-Soviet restructuring of the former Soviet military intelligence service. The directorate conducts military intelligence and special operations, including activities abroad, and has played a prominent role since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It is headed by Kyrylo Budanov.
