Main Intelligence Directorate
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR) is the military intelligence branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subordinated to the Ministry of Defence. It has been led since 2020 by Major General Kyrylo Budanov. The directorate carries out strategic intelligence, counter-intelligence and special operations and is one of the principal components of Ukraine's security and defence apparatus.
