Lukoil North America
Lukoil North America was the United States subsidiary of the Russian oil company Lukoil, operating in upstream exploration and production, primarily in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. Following the sanctions imposed on Russia after the 2014 annexation of Crimea, Lukoil announced the sale of its downstream assets in the United States, and the upstream operations were subsequently transferred to a new, independent entity called Niobrara Energy. The Lukoil North America name was retired in the course of that divestment.
