Ukrainian law enforcement exposes gas theft scheme worth over 65 million hryvnias in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) and the National Police have exposed an organized group accused of stealing more than 3.4 million cubic meters of natural gas from the state gas transmission system in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast between 2025 and 2026. The stolen gas, valued at over 65 million hryvnias, was sold for cash through affiliated gas stations. Thirteen participants have been notified of suspicion and are in custody, facing up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
