Litgrid
Litgrid is the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, managing the country's high-voltage power grid. It is a state-owned company responsible for balancing electricity supply and demand, ensuring system reliability, and developing transmission infrastructure. In 2024 it was spun off from its former parent EPSO-G as a standalone listed company, headquartered in Vilnius.

Lithuania to fortify new substation near Kaliningrad against drone and hybrid threats
Lithuania's grid operator Litgrid is planning enhanced physical protections for the new Gizay electrical substation, located roughly 30 km west of Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. The measures — including a truck-bomb-resistant fence, tunnel-detection systems and reinforced concrete shielding for transformers — make Gizay the first new energy facility in the region since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
