Liberal Democratic Party of Russia
The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) is a Russian ultra-nationalist and populist political party founded in 1991. It was long led by Vladimir Zhirinovsky, whose death in 2022 was followed by the leadership of Leonid Slutsky. The party has traditionally been one of the dominant forces in the State Duma of the Russian Federation and supports the Kremlin's political course.
