Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA)
The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) is the executive authority in the city of Kyiv, established in May 2022 after martial law was imposed. It is headed by a chief who acts as head of the city military administration. The KMVA coordinates the capital's defence, ensures the city's functioning under martial law, and liaises with central Ukrainian authorities.

Russia launches large-scale combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight, killing two in Kyiv
On the night of October 6–7, Russia launched a large-scale combined air attack on Ukraine using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and strike drones, striking targets in Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kremenchuk and other cities. Two people were killed in Kyiv's Darnytsky district, and hits on industrial, transport and residential infrastructure were reported across multiple oblasts.
