Kyiv School of Economics
The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) is a Ukrainian higher-education and research institution founded in 1996 by the economist and businessman Bernard Shoufer (Schoenfeld). It offers undergraduate and graduate programmes in economics, business and public policy, and operates an independent research centre that produces widely cited macroeconomic forecasts and analyses of the Ukrainian economy. Its research has been particularly prominent in assessing the economic impact of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Trump claims Ukraine and Russia agreed to halt energy strikes; Kyiv says no deal yet
US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on September 14 that Ukraine and Russia had agreed to mutually stop striking each other's energy infrastructure. Neither Kyiv nor Moscow officially confirmed the alleged deal, and President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine is only ready to halt strikes on Russian energy if partners guarantee that Russia stops striking Ukrainian energy and other critical infrastructure. Trump also tied rising global diesel prices to the Russia–Ukraine war, while the Kremlin said instability in the Middle East is the main driver.
