Russia hits Kyiv with massive combined missile and drone attack overnight, killing two
Russia launched a massive combined missile and drone strike on Kyiv overnight on September 7–8, killing two people and injuring at least 16, with damage and fires reported across multiple districts of the capital. The attack came immediately after US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner left Kyiv, ending a three-day mutual pause on strikes against the two capitals that had been announced during their visit.
