Kyiv City Military Administration
The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) is the temporary executive authority in Kyiv operating under martial law. It exercises the powers of the Kyiv city council and its executive committee, and is responsible for civil defence, security and the city's recovery. It is headed by a head appointed by decree of the President of Ukraine. The administration was established at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion to ensure governance of the capital during wartime.
