Russian ballistic strike destroys Datagroup data centre in Kyiv; company says site cannot be restored
A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on the night of 19 October completely destroyed the Datagroup data centre, which the company said cannot be rebuilt and is continuing to serve customers from backup sites. The same combined strike damaged buildings in three districts of the capital, including a Consultative-Diagnostic Centre of a city hospital and a 25-storey residential building, and hit energy facilities in ten oblasts. Ukrainian authorities reported at least 10 injured and one killed, though casualty figures differed between sources.
