Chartiia Battalion
Khartiia (Charter) is a Ukrainian volunteer battalion formed in 2022 at the start of Russia's full-scale invasion as a territorial defence unit within the Territorial Defence Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was later transferred to the National Guard of Ukraine and became publicly known through its commander, Andrii Yermak, a former official and businessman and brother of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The battalion has taken part in combat operations on several fronts and is regarded as one of the more prominent volunteer formations of Ukraine's civilian defence sector.
