Massive Ukrainian drone attack hits Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, striking oil terminal, VK data center, and bridge
On the night of October 18, a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack struck Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Leningrad Oblast. Drones hit the Petersburg Oil Terminal, a VKontakte data center and adjacent substation in Leningrad Oblast, an Ozon logistics center, a Rosneft-affiliated fuel depot, and a cable-stayed bridge on the Western High-Speed Diameter, causing fires, power outages, service disruptions, and casualties. Ukrainian defense company Fire Point claimed responsibility, saying FP-1 drones were used.
