European Parliament Committee on Security and Defence
The Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE) is a standing committee of the European Parliament responsible for the EU's common foreign and security policy, defence and the security sector. Its remit covers threat assessment, oversight of the Common Security and Defence Policy, and relations with third countries and international organisations on security matters. The committee is chaired by a chairperson elected from among its members at the start of each parliamentary term.
