KNDS
KNDS is a European defense company formed in 2015 through the merger of France's Nexter Systems and Germany's Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. It is headquartered in Amsterdam, with manufacturing operations in France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries. The company produces main battle tanks including the Leclerc and Leopard 2, as well as artillery systems and munitions.

Germany recorded over 165 suspected sabotage cases and nearly 750 drone incidents in 2026, confidential BKA report shows
A confidential report by Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), cited by Süddeutsche Zeitung and based on the early weeks of the new Joint Centre for Defence against Hybrid Threats (GAZ-Hybrid) in Berlin, documents a sharp rise in suspected sabotage, espionage and suspicious drone activity since the start of 2026. Prosecutors opened 24 espionage cases in the year, about half of them related to cyber operations, and Germany formally holds Russia responsible for an attempted drone attack on a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport.
