Kirovohrad Regional State Administration
The Kirovohrad Regional State Administration is the executive body of the Ukrainian government in Kirovohrad Oblast, responsible for implementing state policy in the region. It is headed by a governor appointed by the President of Ukraine. The administration oversees local governance, infrastructure, economic development, and security matters within the oblast. The regional capital is the city of Kropyvnytskyi, which bore the name Kirovohrad until 2016 and gave the region its historical name.

Russian forces struck critical infrastructure in the city of Oleksandriia in Kirovohrad Oblast during a morning attack on 7 October. One person was killed and three were wounded, with two others reported out of contact. Local and regional authorities gave diverging casualty figures in the hours after the strike.
