Drone strike sinks commercial vessel Khoryv in Black Sea near Romania
The Comoros-flagged commercial vessel Khoryv sank in the Black Sea on October 23, about 24 km from Constanta, Romania, after what Romanian authorities said was a drone strike. Nine of its 13 crew members were rescued, one died and three remained missing. Romanian and European officials linked the incident to an escalation of Russia’s war against Ukraine and risks to civilian shipping.
