Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant
The Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant is a Ukrainian nuclear power station located near the city of Netishyn in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. It houses two VVER-1000 reactors and is one of four operating nuclear facilities in Ukraine. Construction began in the Soviet period and was carried out in stages, with the second reactor unit entering commercial operation in 2004. The plant has been struck repeatedly during the full-scale Russian invasion, causing damage to surrounding infrastructure and raising international concern about nuclear safety.

Leaked Russian document outlines three-stage plan to cripple Ukraine's energy system this winter
The New York Times published a Russian-language document dated August describing a three-stage Russian plan to systematically destroy Ukraine's energy and water infrastructure with up to 1,000 missiles, drones and bombs, targeting Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa. Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal had presented the document to European partners in Paris two weeks earlier. The NYT said it could not independently verify the document's authenticity, and it remains unknown whether Russia will carry out the plan or whether it would succeed if attempted.
