US lawmakers urge Pentagon to restore unlimited Starlink and Starshield access for Ukraine
Eight bipartisan US lawmakers asked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to expand Ukraine’s Starshield contract, restore unlimited-speed Starlink and Starshield service and preserve coverage over Russian territory. Ukrainian officials initially said speed restrictions remained in force despite Donald Trump’s announcement that they had been lifted, but later Defense Ministry monitoring indicated that speeds had recovered to above 400 km/h with stable connectivity.
