Kherson City Military Administration

The Kherson City Military Administration is a local governance body established under martial law in Ukraine after the full-scale Russian invasion began in 2022. It exercises municipal authority over the city of Kherson, taking on the powers of the city council and its executive bodies for the duration of the martial-law period. The administration is headed by a chief appointed by the President of Ukraine. The institution of city military administrations was introduced to keep municipalities functioning in frontline and formerly occupied areas.
