Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration
The Kharkiv Oblast State Administration is the executive body of state power in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast, headed by a chairperson appointed by presidential decree. It is responsible for implementing national policy in the region, coordinating local government bodies, and managing socio-economic development programmes. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the administration has been at the centre of civil defence efforts, aid to affected civilians and infrastructure recovery in one of the most heavily shelled regions of the country.

Russian guided bombs hit two Kharkiv districts overnight, injuring multiple children
Russian forces struck the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs (KABs) overnight on 28 September 2026, hitting a multi-story residential building in Saltivskyi and damaging apartment buildings in Kyivskyi. Multiple civilians were injured, including several children. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Oblast head Oleh Syniehubov reported the attack and its casualties.
