Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant
Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station is a hydroelectric plant on the Dnieper in Kherson Oblast, downstream of the Kakhovka Reservoir. It formed part of the Dnieper hydroelectric cascade and was destroyed by the flooding caused by the breach of the Kakhovka Dam.

Ceasefire begins in Olekshy for humanitarian aid and civilian evacuation
A temporary ceasefire began in Olekshy in Kherson region at 03:00 Kyiv time on October 27, 2026. The agreement enables humanitarian deliveries, verification of conditions and the preparation of safe civilian movement and evacuation. Ukraine and Russia both reported observing the arrangements.
