International Monetary and Financial Committee

The International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) is the advisory governing body of the International Monetary Fund. It comprises finance ministers or other officials of the Fund's member countries, typically one from each of the 24 constituencies into which the IMF's Board of Governors is organized. The IMFC usually meets twice a year, during the Spring and Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank, and provides guidance on the Fund's strategic priorities, including global financial stability, surveillance, and lending policies.
