International Fencing Federation
The International Fencing Federation (FIE) is the governing body of the sport of fencing, founded in 1913 in Paris. It organises the World Championships and oversees fencing at the Olympic Games, and its headquarters are in Lausanne. Alisher Usmanov served as its president from 2008 to 2022 and remained an influential figure in the organisation afterwards.
