22 U.S. House members urge Trump to fully implement Graham Act Russia sanctions by October 18 deadline
A bipartisan group of 22 U.S. House members sent a letter to President Donald Trump on October 15 calling on his administration to fully and promptly implement the sanctions against Russia under the Lindsey Graham Act before the law's first mandatory deadline on October 18. The lawmakers urged secondary tariffs on China and India as the largest buyers of Russian oil, demanded action against Russia's shadow fleet and intermediaries, and called on Trump to revoke an October 9 Treasury license that permitted certain transactions involving Russian diesel fuel.
