House of Representatives of Japan
The House of Representatives is the lower house of the National Diet of Japan, composed of 465 members elected for four-year terms. It is the chamber in which the government holds its majority, where the prime minister is chosen and principal legislation is passed. The House elects its own Speaker, who presides over its proceedings.

Japan's House Speaker Eisuke Mori arrives in Ukraine on first visit
Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives Eisuke Mori arrived in Ukraine on September 14 for his first trip to the country. Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk greeted him at a Kyiv railway station. Stefanchuk said the visit gives Mori a chance to see the consequences of the Russian war and to learn about Ukraine's needs directly.
