Higher Council of Justice
The Higher Council of Justice is a constitutional body in Ukraine responsible for ensuring the integrity and professionalism of the judiciary. Its powers include appointing, transferring and dismissing judges, as well as adjudicating disciplinary cases against them. The Council was re-established in 2015 to replace the previous Supreme Council of Justice, and it consists of 21 members, most of whom are elected by judges and lawyers.
