Higher Anti-Corruption Court
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) is a permanent court of special jurisdiction in Ukraine, established in 2019 to handle criminal proceedings involving corruption offences investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP). Its jurisdiction covers bribery, illicit enrichment, abuse of influence and other offences committed by senior officials. The court became operational after its Appeals Chamber was filled and functions as a first-instance court for NABU/SAP cases, with appeals heard by its own Appeals Chamber.
