General Staff of Ukraine
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the central military command body within the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, responsible for strategic planning, coordination and leadership of the Armed Forces. It is headed by the Chief of the General Staff, who reports to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defence. The General Staff develops military doctrine, operational plans and oversees the execution of missions in peacetime and during armed conflict. Its headquarters is located in Kyiv.

Ukraine's Third Army Corps publicly confirmed on September 15 that it has been running an offensive operation codenamed "Vivaldi" in the northern part of Donetsk Oblast, east and northeast of Lyman. The corps revealed details of the first phase, which targeted Russian troop infiltration and logistics, and reported Russian losses in personnel, drones and equipment. The announcement broke months of operational secrecy around the fighting.
