Pentagon inspector general rejects senators' request to probe Starlink and Starshield restrictions in Ukraine
The Pentagon's independent inspector general declined a bipartisan request from nine US senators to investigate the October restrictions on Starlink and Starshield in Ukraine, directing the questions to the US Air Force. The decision leaves unresolved who authorized the restrictions and whether US officials knew of or approved changes affecting Ukraine. The services were restored on 24 October at speeds Ukraine described as sufficient for operational use.
